About the CPD course

The Dementia Awareness training is to deliver the understanding and awareness of dementia. Recognising the early signs of dementia; Why Early diagnosis of dementia helps people gain access to information; support; and treatment at the earliest possible stage; Sensitive Communication leads to meaningful support; How to promote independence and encourage activity; How to recognise the signs of distress resulting from confusion and to respond effectively; Family members and other carers are valued; respected; and supported just like those they care for and are helped to gain access to dementia care advice.
