The course takes learners through in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse; looking at why victims may stay in abusive relationships and the systems and processes that can keep victims and their families safe. The course provides a tool kit to support with recognising domestic abuse; risk assessing victims and their families; developing support and safety plans and understanding when to refer on; take specialist advice and engage fully with multi-agency working."
