This course provides learners with the knowledge they need to carry out safer recruitment procedures; in order to recruit people that are suitable for the role and share their expectations; attitudes; and values regarding safeguarding children. It looks at the recruitment process for employers; volunteers; and contractors from start to finish; taking the learner through compiling recruitment documentation; preparing for and conducting interviews; carrying out pre-appointment checks; and then continuing safer recruitment practices after appointment. It also includes sections on dealing with allegations; including the procedure for allegations of low-level concerns.
