Implementing EQ (Emotional Intelligence) to engage ‘challenging’ pupils
CEL&T Training and Development
About the course
This course will define what we mean by challenging behaviour and explore reasons for the behaviour displayed. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on how and why we respond in certain ways. The course will develop participants’ understanding of emotional intelligence so that they can better support pupils in all settings. The key ideas can be implemented by a range of practitioners; not solely school staff.
We offer training and support in a range of ways including Online eLearning units with CPD hours recognised on Certificate of Completion. INSET training for individual schools or cluster groups (half day or whole day) onsite or offsite. National conferences for staff to attend- these are annual conferences hosted at the University of Sunderland in partnership with a wide range of organisations. Support and Advice in developing Attachment Friendly Schools promoting Wellbeing.
