NHS First on Scene Training

Training Course Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

About the CPD course

Many of our staff work in dynamic environments; which may mean that they are the first person on scene at an incident where their intervention can have a positive impact on its outcome. This session aims to give staff a basic level of training to be able to report and escalate an issue and provide a competent initial response; bridging the gap until the Emergency Services arrive or it can be de-escalated locally. This session covers initial response to a chemical attack; identifying a suspect package; keeping safe if there is an armed attacker; working during severe weather or flooding and reporting mechanisms for such incidents
