About the CPD course

Blended online course with tutor support.

The most effective teachers and support staff have a good understanding of how to personalise learning. They can make real-time adjustments to their plans/approach when observations show that another approach will lead to a better learning outcome. Working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities requires a flexible and inclusive approach, based on sound knowledge of learning theory and practice. This 20-hour blended course provides access to online evidence-based content and at least two live tutoring sessions. An authentic ‘real-world’ task simulates best practices and provides opportunities for learning to be personalised and embedded in everyday practice. Participants taking this course are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and skills to plan and deliver targeted interventions that lead to better learning outcomes for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
