This seminar aims to address the growing interest in watermist being used as a fixed fire suppression tool and in particular; as a replacement for traditional sprinkler ?spray type? systems. The seminar looks at the different categories of fire and the suitability of sprinklers; mist systems and other firefighting agents for each category. Advantages and disadvantages of mist systems are put forward and applications suggested. Differences between sprinklers and watermist are discussed including droplet size; water supplies; head spacing and standards
