About the CPD course

This course focuses on the experiences of families caring for children who have life-threatening and life-limiting condition and are not expected to reach adulthood. It will provide professionals with an insight into the journey of the families and carers for these children in order to support them as they make decisions around palliative and end of life care. Delegates will leave with a better understanding of the family’s experience of caring for a child who will die prematurely; the decisions they are faced with; why and how communication can break down and steps that can be taken to avoid this.
