About the course
This unit introduces thematic reasoning for children experiencing loss and trauma and what this means for children and young people. The unit includes the theoretical basis from which to appreciate how this impacts upon a high percentage of children and young people Nationally and Internationally and what this means for those working with children and young people. This unit is suitable for a wide range of people including professionals (Health; Social Services and Education) as well as support workers/ para-professionals; parents; carers; corporate parents; foster parents kinship carers and adoptive parents or those seeking to understand children and young people and how they feel.
CEL&T Training and Development
We offer training and support in a range of ways including Online eLearning units with CPD hours recognised on Certificate of Completion. INSET training for individual schools or cluster groups (half day or whole day) onsite or offsite. National conferences for staff to attend- these are annual conferences hosted at the University of Sunderland in partnership with a wide range of organisations.
