  • Healthy MindED 2020

    Due to the coronavirus pandemic; Healthy MindED 2020; which was due to take place on 14 May 2020; will now be held as a live virtual conference over two days; with a bank of additional prerecorded sessions for all delegates to access. 1st & 2nd July 2020 – 2pm-4.30pmMental health has been an issue of growing concern for school leaders in recent years; however this year it has become more important than ever due to the Coronavirus crisis. The ongoing crisis; alongside partial school closures and lockdown measures have caused a number of issues for students and staff alike; from the disrupted routines; stress of lockdown and anxiety of the pandemic; to bereavement under very difficult circumstances. These issues will be widespread and will require a new approach from staff and schools

  • Using rhythm to support pupils’ reading: A guide to getting started in the classroom

    This is a virtual workshop aimed at teachers; TAs; and anyone interested in children’s literacy. The event aims to inform teaching staff on the importance of prosodic awareness for the development of literacy skills; and provide guidance on how rhythmic tasks can be developed and implemented within the classroom. The main themes of the event are: (1) the link between rhythmic awareness and literacy; (2) how we test and train rhythmic awareness in research (including some practical opportunities); (3) the benefits of including rhythmic activities in your teaching; and (4) how to develop and use rhythmic tasks in the classroom.     LearnED Roadshow- Helping teachers maximise the use of EdTech in the classroom

    The LearnED roadshow is a series of CPD events taking place in ten English regions. The event is run jointly by BESA and the Department for Education (DfE). LearnED is a conference for head teachers and senior school leaders and will aim to inspire and inform school decision-makers through peer-to-peer panel discussions about the effective use of EdTech to improve teaching and learning outcomes; assessment; support leadership and management across the whole school.

    Tribal Empower Conference 2020

    This one-day virtual conference will look at the big issues currently facing Higher Education and what things might look like for the future of students. It will cover technology updates and available solutions along with inspiring case studies sharing best practice. There will be an empowering programme of live and on-demand sessions with expert speakers on the latest industry innovations and strategies for the challenges ahead. There will be technical insights into Tribal’s and their partner’s software; and best practice case studies showcasing the use of technology to improve student experience. There is the opportunity for Q&A across the agenda as well as networking with peers through virtual chat and video meetings.
