    This course aims to enable schools to take charge of their own evaluation processes; turn the resulting data into useful information that supports school improvement in a coherent and manageable manner.

  • Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes

    Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing® (LiPS) for Reading; Spelling; and Speech

    The LiPS course explores the sensory-cognitive processes basic to phonemic processing; decoding; spelling; and reading in context. Participants will learn the role of phonemic awareness in tracking sounds and letters within words; decoding; spelling and development of fluency in contextual reading for all ages of students. Information and techniques are gained through discussion; demonstration; video; reading; and supervised practice allowing class members to learn to “respond to the response” to develop sensory-cognitive functions; and integrate the steps into any curriculum; phonics programme; reading programme; or language arts programme.

  • Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes

    Seeing Stars® Symbol Imagery for Phonological and Orthographic Processing in Reading and Spelling

    The Seeing Stars® course explores the sensory-cognitive processes basic to phonological and orthographic processing; decoding; reading in context; and spelling. Class members will learn the role of symbol imagery in automaticity in phonemic awareness; acquisition of sight words; acquisition of accurate spelling rather than phonetic spelling; and development of fluency in contextual reading for all ages of students. Information and techniques are gained through discussion; demonstration; video; reading; and supervised practice allowing class members to learn to “respond to the response” to develop sensory-cognitive functions; and integrate the steps into any curriculum; phonics programme; reading programme; or language arts programme.

  • Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes

    Talkies: Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Expression

    One of the primary goals of the Talkies course is to make class members aware of the specific sensory-cognitive function basic to language comprehension and critical thinking. Participants will learn the role of concept imagery in oral language comprehension and oral language expression for all ages of students in one-to-one; small-group; and classroom settings. Information and techniques are gained through discussion; demonstration; video; reading; and supervised practice. Study and supervised practice allows class members to learn Socratic questioning to develop sensory-cognitive functions; and integrate the steps into any curriculum; reading programme; language arts programme; and all content instruction.

  • Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes

    Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking (V/V®)

    The Visualizing & Verbalizing course’s primary goal is to make class members aware that concept imagery is the specific sensory-cognitive function basic to language comprehension and critical thinking. Class members will learn the role of concept imagery in reading comprehension; oral language comprehension; following oral directions; critical thinking; oral language expression; and written language expression. Information and techniques are gained through discussion; demonstration; video; reading; and supervised practice. Study and supervised practice allow class members to learn Socratic questioning to develop sensory-cognitive functions; and integrate the steps into any curriculum; reading programme; language arts programme; and content instruction.

  • Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes

    On Cloud Nine® Maths

    On Cloud Nine® explores the sensory-cognitive processes for maths computation and word problems. Participants will learn the role of dual coding with imagery and language in the acquisition of maths; especially applying concept and numeral imagery to mathematical reasoning; acquisition of maths facts; application to computation in addition; subtraction; multiplication; division; decimals; fractions; and development of ability to solve word problems. Appropriate for all ages of students. Information and techniques are gained through discussion; demonstration; video; reading; and supervised practice allowing participants to learn Socratic questions to develop sensory-cognitive functions; and integrate the On Cloud Nine® steps into any curriculum or math programme.

    Maintaining and fulfilling staff recruitment policy and procedures

    This course will give delegates the opportunity to learn about the expectations of the recruitment process and how to ensure that its requirements are correctly evidenced. Delegates will have the chance to work with an experienced safeguarding specialist who will be able to advise on regulatory requirements and assist schools in developing their procedures and associated checklists.
