Teaching American History and Politics at A-Level: A Guide to Sources; Materials; and Approaches

24 Mar 2020

About the event

The first session offers a practical overview of how the Black freedom struggle in the US can be linked to the racial politics of the UK. The second session considers approaches to teaching civil rights and liberties in the American History and Politics A-Level strands. Both will introduce a range of resources including primary source materials; secondary readings; websites; and podcasts that can be employed by teachers in the classroom. The sessions are interactive and teachers are involved via open discussion of classroom needs and approaches. Teachers can attend one or both sessions as preferred.
