This is a virtual workshop aimed at teachers; TAs; and anyone interested in children’s literacy. The event aims to inform teaching staff on the importance of prosodic awareness for the development of literacy skills; and provide guidance on how rhythmic tasks can be developed and implemented within the classroom. The main themes of the event are: (1) the link between rhythmic awareness and literacy; (2) how we test and train rhythmic awareness in research (including some practical opportunities); (3) the benefits of including rhythmic activities in your teaching; and (4) how to develop and use rhythmic tasks in the classroom. For more information; contact: emily.harrison@bcu.ac.uk. This is a free event.
