About the event
The suicide rate in Britain fell by 4.7% in 2016; the third consecutive annual reduction. Despite this positive step; more work is needed in order to meet the Mental Health Taskforce's target of reducing the rate by 10% by 2020. The Health Select Committee has labelled the Government's National Suicide Prevention Strategy England "essentially sound" but called for more funding and a greater focus on practical implementation. Join us for the Suicide Prevention Conference where speakers from NHS; social care and charity sector will explain what can be done to support those at risk of taking their own life.
