This course provides a clear understanding of how shareholder engagement on human rights issues can be linked to improving business practice and will explain the difference from issues around environment; social an governance (ESG) issues. It will provide opportunities to comare an organisation’s practices with leading companies’ approaches to reporting and shareholder engagement on human rights issues. It will also cover the latest legal and policy developments relating to human rights issues and discusses the role of lawyers and in-house counsel in resolving business-related human rights harms.
