The MEUC represents its members’ interests to government and helps them help themselves in understanding the complex gas; electricity; water and carbon markets for buying; managing and planning their supplies. MEUC members cover medium sized businesses as well as large ones and account for over 25 per cent of industrial energy consumption. This event is for our members and large/medium sized business customers for energy/water to find out How do other large customers see things? What are the” must do” issues that need tackling now and how should longer term investments be prioritised to manage this underlying change given the many options and offers coming forward on what seem like a daily basis. The day’s proceedings will be kicked off by three end users sharing their thoughts on their own situations and the challenges they face. They will return at the end to discuss the future and what they feel are the key take-always from the various working sessions that have been running throughout the day. These sessions include on contracts and prices; carbon reporting changes and regulation; the new water market; new demand side flexibility options; power purchasing agreements; battery storage and the impact of low carbon transport.
