Introducing British Values to your curriculum

The workshop will discuss ways to embed and deliver core British Values into education curriculum and give delegates the opportunity to share best practice. The workshop will involve interactive discussions and activities around the following: democracy; rule of law; individual liberty and terrorism. The workshop will be based on the Ascentis Level 1 Award in Understanding British Values and Entry 3 Level Award in Introduction to British Values qualifications and discuss how education environments can deliver British Values in line with OFSTED principals.

In a world where clicks are currency and ‘likes’ are what validates us; it can be tricky differentiating between ‘real life’ and ‘online life’; especially for digital natives. Those born and raised with the smartphone as their fifth limb don’t need to be taught to run from it; but ways to use it for good.

Dyscalculia Training

This training for SENCOs; Head teachers and Deputy Head teachers in the field of Dyscalculia is delivered by Judy Hornigold BSc; PGCSpE; AMBDA; an independent education consultant specialising in dyslexia and dyscalculia and also an Associate Tutor for the BDA and Edge Hill University. She is also a trainer for Maths No Problem training teachers in Singapore Maths. Delegates will receive invaluable training in this vital area; and will also see a demonstration of the IDL Numeracy software. All delegates will receive CPD certification.
