BB Training Academy (part of Busy Bees Childcare) is an outstanding training provider offering award-winning apprenticeships and Learning and Development courses to the care sector.

Our team of Training Officers are occupational experts who understand the needs and challenges of working in the care industry. Our sector-specific Learning and Development courses cover all aspects of the Care Certificate and EYFS and all our qualifications are available as online, blended or face to face to suit your organisation’s needs.

  • Behaviour Management Co-ordinator

    The course will provide you with the tools to support staff; children and their families with managing challenging behaviour and being equipped with the skills to coordinate the right support for them. It highlights safeguarding links; looking specifically looking at every child matters and the importance of working closely with parents. It covers the importance of early intervention and what this may look like. It will be made clear on what internal support they should be able to offer and how to obtain external support.

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

    This course is designed to support DSL’s in understanding the historical & legal background around safeguarding in England and their specific responsibilities in their setting. It will cover contemporary safeguarding issues and include Prevent Duty & Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). It will provide practical support in making referrals and look at serious case reviews & how these have influenced change; specifically in relation to legislation. It will also cover how to identify and support staff; families and children in order to ensure best outcomes for the children.

  • Care Certificate

    This course will introduce you to the Care Certificate which is an agreed set of standards that sets out the skills; behaviours and knowledge expected of specific job roles in the Health & Social Care sector. This will form part of your induction programme into your new setting. It is expected that new healthcare support workers and adult social care workers will complete the 15 Care Certificate standards before they work without supervision in any workplace.

Be able to work using a Multi-Agency approach to ensure best possible outcomes for children and families.

It will discuss strategies that can be used to support children manage their feelings and behaviours.
