Working to promote the advancement of British music education following the teachings of Zoltan Kodály Hungarian composer and educator. We run workshops Summer School a Spring course and we provide a Professional Practice Certificate course.

    The course is designed for the “non specialist” teacher in order to build confidence to deliver Kodaly inspired music sessions effectively with well-chosen material structured in a progressive manner. The course will be highly practical focussing on singing games which then act as a springboard to musical learning developing the essential building blocks of musical learning (beat; rhythm; pitch; dynamics; tempo; phrasing). Participants will be introduced to the basics of musical reading and writing and shown how to lead in a logical sequential way to notation. The course will look at the variety of ways in which music can support the broader curriculum specifically literacy; numeracy and health and wellbeing.
