Organisation Description

Clarke Energy is a multinational specialist in the engineering, installation and maintenance of reciprocating engine based power plants and gas engine compression stations. Our offering ranges from the supply of an engine, through to the turn-key installation of a multi-engine power plant. Our facilities deliver fuel efficiency and help reduce carbon emissions. Applications include combined heat and power (CHP) with natural gas, biogas, landfill gas and coal gas or high efficiency diesel-fuelled power generation. We are the largest authorised distributor and service provider for GE’s reciprocating engines.

  • Extended Level Access - Training on the job

    The scope of this training is to provide: The ability to work with DIA.NE XT and DIA.NE WIN at level 15. The ability to identify malfunctions with the checklist for trouble-shooting and to rectify the malfunctions. An in depth knowledge on adjusting and optimizing control loops for LEANOX; speed and power output controllers. A detailed knowledge of the functions of the electrical components at the engine and in the control cubical. A detailed knowledge of the wiring diagrams and relevant technical documentation.

    The purpose of this training course is to give the engineer: An excellent overview of the Jenbacher gas engine technology; An insight into the structure of a Jenbacher gas engine module and terminology for the individual components; A comprehensive understanding of design criteria for peripheral equipment that is necessary for a CHP plant; The knowledge required for a successful operation of Jenbacher gas engine equipment in manual and automatic modes; The ability to carry out up to 10;000 OH maintenance; following maintenance schedules.

  • Field Tech Advanced Training

    The purpose of this training course is to give the engineer: An in depth knowledge of important technical documentation such as wiring diagrams and interface lists; Detailed knowledge of all relevant auxiliary equipment and their parameters for correct engine operation; Comprehensive understanding of the operation of the generators used with GE Jenbacher gas engines; the AVR’s and PFC used along with relevant parameters; How to use software tools to help analyse and interrogate the GE Jenbacher engine.

  • Maintenance and repair training

    The purpose of this training course is to give the engineer: The ability to carry out necessary maintenance tasks up to 30;000 OH following the GEJ maintenance schedules; A detailed understanding of relevant maintenance documentation including maintenance schedules and maintenance tasks; A comprehensive understanding of how to use GEJ special tools for maintenance tasks.

  • Operator training

    After the training the engineer will have: An excellent overview of the Jenbacher gas engine technology; The ability to understand operating documents and their structure; An insight into the structure of a Jenbacher gas engine module and terminology for the individual components; The necessary knowledge to successfully operate Jenbacher gas engine equipment in manual and automatic modes; The ability to identify and remedy the most common malfunctions and errors; The necessary knowledge to carry out 1;000 and 2;000 operating hour maintenance tasks.
