  • There are two sides to every story?

    Seminar | Forensic Access

    Forensic Access

This is a forensic awareness seminar for Solicitors and Barristers. During the Seminar; our experts will provide the delegates with the detail of the services that we offer and how we can assist in accurately reviewing and assessing the forensic evidence in the context of the case. The Seminar will give the delegates the knowledge to understand the science; but perhaps more importantly; understand the potential limitations of the evidence before them and how we can work with them to assist their client.

  • The Real Silent Witness: Every Animal Leaves Trace

    Seminar | Forensic Access

    Forensic Access

In this unique joint presentation delivered by a forensic scientist and a veterinary surgeon; how animal evidence can be applied to human investigations; will be discussed. As over 44% of households own a pet; the evidential potential of the animal; and its surroundings; represents a significant but under-utilised source of material. Alongside acting as ‘silent witnesses’ animals may be used as weapons (both physically and emotionally) and they are gaining recognition as victims in their own right. With recent announcements to reclassify the offence to either way and increase sentences to 5 years in cases of animal cruelty; this timely Seminar will raise the awareness of the increase of these case types and the link between animal and human abuse.
