Get Berkshire Active is one of a network of 43 Active Partnerships (AP) across England. We are a charity with a social purpose to transform lives through Sport and Physical Activity. Funded nationally through Sport England we help to deliver the government strategy for Sport locally.

This 1st day version is a brief Introduction to Behaviour Change and Motivational Interviewing in Relation to Physical Activity Designed for those working in a variety of health care settings this course will ensure participants are credible in their understanding of Physical Activity benefits barriers and guidelines and the main models and theories of Behaviour Change They will be have a basic understanding of Motivational Interviewing to put into practice to create more positive conversations

This 2nd day version is a fuller Introduction to Behaviour Change and Motivational Interviewing in Relation to Physical Activity Designed for those working in a variety of health care settings this course will ensure participants are credible in their understanding of Physical Activity benefits barriers and guidelines and the main models and theories of Behaviour Change The mixture of theory and practice in Motivational Interviewing techniques will ensure the participant is more skilled and confident to initiate more positive conversations around Physical Activity
