  • Advanced Communication Skills in the NHS

    Training Course | Maguire Training

    The main aim of this course will be to help delegates improve their communication skills and provide advanced communication skills for Doctors both individually and within their team across the NHS. Delegates will also explore in great detail and gain an understanding of the benefits of communicating effectively and the principles of effective communication. 

  • Clinical Supervision

    Training Course | Maguire Training

    The Clinical supervisor has a different role to that of the educational supervisor and within this programme those areas will be highlighted. There will also be clear definitions around the main purposes and responsibilities of the position. With Doctors having appraisals each year it is imperative that Clinical Supervisors understand their role in ensuring that a Doctors appraisal; the resulting PDP; their job –plan and focus on Continuing Professional Development (CPD); is maintained. The Clinical Supervisor also has to ensure and encourage Clinical Audit and Multi-source feedback for each Doctor. This course is directed at those doctors who are preparing themselves for the role; or for those existing clinical supervisors who want to up-date or refresh their knowledge.

  • Emotional Intelligence

    The main aim of this workshop is to help delegates understand how emotional intelligence offers a means for developing the communication and interpersonal skills needed by a manager to develop and improve relationships with both their colleagues and team. Delegates will explore in detail the ability to recognise their emotions; understand what they’re telling them; and realise how their emotions affect people around them.
