Organisation Description

National Energy Action (NEA) is the national charity which aims to eradicate fuel poverty and campaigns for greater investment in energy efficiency to help those who are poor and vulnerable. For over 30 years the national fuel poverty charity National Energy Action (NEA) have offered an extensive range of qualifications training courses and educational resources to cover key issues associated with fuel poverty fuel debt affordable warmth and delivering practical energy efficiency advice.

CPD Courses and Workshops Available

  • Fuel Poverty And Fuel Debt In The Private Rented Sector

    Training Course | National Energy Action

    Letting agents and private landlords renting homes who would like to: recognise the impacts of fuel poverty on private tenants, help tenants reduce condensation dampness; find out about new energy efficiency legislation affecting the prs; identify grants and assistance available to improve energy efficiency, reduce fuel bills and fuel debt; identify where to signpost tenants for further help. In light of new energy efficiency regulations which will prevent private landlords from letting f or g rated properties from April 2018, this training will enable participants to identify what support is available to landlords and their low-income and vulnerable tenants; which, in turn, should help tenants maintain their tenancy and reduce the likelihood of falling into rent arrears.

  • Money Management and Avoiding Fuel Debt

    This course offers an introduction to money management and how to avoid fuel debt designed for frontline workers who are interested in finding out more about the topics.

  • Big Energy Saving Network Champions & Volunteer Course

    Online Course | National Energy Action

    This course has been developed for Champions and Volunteers who will be assisting vulnerable householders to reduce their energy costs as part of the Department of Energy and Climate Change's (DECC) Big Energy Saving Network 2015-2016. The course will equip them with the knowledge and skills to help householders switch energy supplier and tariff payment; access energy efficiency schemes and fuel suppliers' priority service registers.
