Level 3 Drivers Hours & Tachographs

This course covers the essential knowledge required by drivers and managers of goods and passenger vehicles across the UK and Europe; including; EU Drivers Hours; GB Domestic Hours; Working Time Regulations; Exemptions; Analogue and Digital Tachographs. We anticipate the course to be run for drivers in conjunction with the Driver CPC course; however; by taking the examination at the end of the course; this CPD course can provide a certificate of attainment for the subject; rather than only the Driver CPC certificate of attendance. Proving that a good understanding of the subject has been achieved by the candidate.

Driver Assessment

This is an; in-depth; assessment of a driver’s ability; followed by corrective actions and improvement advice. The driver will be assessed using a set template; which has been created by industry experts. Driver Assessment is relevant to LGV; PCV; Van and Company Car Drivers. Use of this assessment will ascertain a driver’s knowledge and ability; and; by implementation of the corrective actions; improve the driver’s knowledge and ability. The assessment can be used for: Periodic (Annual) Assessment; Pre-Employment Assessment; Return to work; Post incident or compliant.

Dangerous Goods Consignor Course

This course is designed for personnel who consign or forward dangerous goods for transport Course teaches the correct documentation to be used and the correct method of completing the documentation Candidates will learn how to identify the relevant information regarding the dangerous goods by using safety data sheets and ADR. This will also provide knowledge of how to complete a (DGN) Dangerous Goods Note Candidates will learn how to assign the correct marking; labels & placards as well as understanding the packaging and tank rules for dangerous goods.

Security of Dangerous Goods

This course is designed for all personnel involved in the transport or storage of dangerous goods. It is based on the Department for Transport syllabus for the secure carriage of dangerous goods and complies with ADR 1.10.2. Candidates undertaking the course will obtain knowledge that is essential to secure dangerous goods both on site and when on a vehicle. This essential knowledge will reduce the chances of terrorists obtaining dangerous goods in order to carry out their atrocities.
