PEAT exists to help children and young people with autism realise their potential by providing Applied Behaviour Analysis training and support to their parents and carers. Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically proven approach, tailored to individual needs, offering a choice to parents and professionals.

We are a dedicated team of professionals for the delivery of evidence-based practice for children and young people with autism (& related disorders) and other complex behaviour needs. We are committed to empowering people with autism to lead fuller lives through positive educational experiences, training for the people who work with them and support for their families and carers. We deliver tailored outreach and training services to parents, carers, professionals, schools and other organisations.

    PEAT - Parents Education as Autism Therapists

    Anxiety in individuals with an ASD is becoming more prevalent with many people at a loss at how to understand the anxiety; how it manifests; as well as practical strategies in how to help reduce this anxiety. This workshop will introduce delegates to practical strategies to help individuals on the autism spectrum manage their anxiety.

  • Difficulties with speech and communication

    Workshop | PEAT - Parents Education as Autism Therapists

    PEAT - Parents Education as Autism Therapists

    This workshop aims to help delegates understand the difficulties that may present with verbal behaviour for an individual with an autism diagnosis. Practical strategies augmented with video will be used to help teach verbal behaviour strategies to increase functional communication. Alternative ways to communicate will also be addressed.

  • Challenging Behaviour

    PEAT - Parents Education as Autism Therapists

    This workshop aims to help delegates understand the presentation of challenging type behaviours that may present in individuals with autism spectrum disorder. The workshop will use video to demonstrate understanding of behaviour as well as practical strategies to reduce these occurrences.
