  • Mental Wellness Training Workshop

    Workshop | The Family Wellness Practice

    This can be offered as a half day or whole day workshop. Minimum number of delegates-6. Maximum number of delegates-30 This workshop promotes mental wellness by enabling delegates to feel more confident and equipped to identify and address emotional and behavioural needs in children and young people. There will be an opportunity to discuss challenging cases and obtain expert advice on how best to manage these.

  • Child Behavioural Management Training Workshop

    Workshop | The Family Wellness Practice

    This can be offered as a half day or whole day workshop. The aim of this Workshop is to increase participants understanding of children’s feelings and how these may affect their behaviour. The Workshop will provide participants with an understanding of the importance of looking at triggers for children’s challenging behaviour. Promoting positive behaviour in an early years setting and looking at the role the adult has to play. The Workshop will support practitioners as they consider strategies to promote positive behaviour and gain knowledge in working in partnership with parents when dealing with behavioural concerns. The workshop will discuss real case studies and give practical advice and behaviour support plans for practitioners to use.

  • Eating Disorders Workshop

    Workshop | The Family Wellness Practice

    This workshop promotes mental wellness by enabling delegates to feel more confident and equipped to identify and address specific needs in children and young people with Eating disorders. A psychiatrist with a special interest in Child and Adolescent mental health will deliver training covering the following aims and objectives: What are eating disorders? Definition of anorexia and bulimia; binge eating How to spot signs and symptoms of eating disorders How to respond effectively and manage appropriately. There will be an opportunity to discuss challenging cases and obtain expert advice on how best to manage these.

  • Development Disorders Workshop

    Workshop | The Family Wellness Practice

    This workshop promotes mental wellness by enabling delegates to feel more confident and equipped to identify and address specific needs in children and young people with ADHD or ASD. A psychiatrist with a special interest in Child and Adolescent mental health will deliver training covering the following aims and objectives: What is Autistic Spectrum Disorder? (ASD). How to spot Signs and symptoms of ASD in school aged children. Multidisciplinary management of ASD-Key strategies teachers can use to manage ASD. What is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)? How to spot signs and symptoms of ADHD in school aged children. Multidisciplinary management of ADHD. There will be an opportunity to discuss challenging cases and obtain expert advice on how best to manage these.

  • Mental Wellness in Children and Young People

    Online Course | The Family Wellness Practice

    This online course is perfect for those who work with children on a daily basis. It will encourage confidence in identifying and managing common mental health issues amongst children and young people in schools and colleges. This training course will enable teachers and professionals working with children and young people to: -Identify common mental health problems in young people using video role plays; featuring real teachers and psychiatrists. -Understand depression; self harm; anxiety; eating disorders and suicidal ideas in young people. -Management of mental health problems -Building Resilience in children and young people using a whole school approach.
