  • UNCRC United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child

    Victim Support Scotland

    Staff will learn about the key provisions of the UNCRC and will participate in an activity designed to increase their awareness of Articles of the UNCRC. Additional legislation relating to children and young people; such as the Children’s Charter and the Scottish Governments pledge to protect children from harm; the Children & Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 and key elements of the Getting it Right for Every Child Approach; Wellbeing and the role of the Named Person will be explored in order to provide staff with a broad understanding of the rights and protection given to children and young people.
