Police Middle Management Course

The aim of the course is to develop basic management skills in first level Police Supervisors in countries which historically have had a bureaucratic management structure with no previous Management Training programme for Junior Managers. The anticipated results will encourage participants to adopt a more Participative Management style and to self-identify why this would be a preferable option to the more bureaucratic styles currently being used. The leadership model encouraged is based upon the Action Centred Leadership style. The course includes an input on the identification and prevention of police corruption.

Police Trainer Skills Course

The aim of the course is to develop basic trainer skills and abilities for those police officers wishing to learn how to train others and pass on vital information and experience to enable others to perform their policing tasks in a professional and knowledgeable manner. The anticipated results will equip new trainers with the basic skills and abilities to deliver pre-prepared police related training materials to their colleagues using a variety of interactive training methods based on the principles of Student-Centred Learning where participants learn through their own efforts; being guided by the trainer to the conclusions as outlined in the training objectives.

Community Police Training Course

The aim of the course is to introduce the concept of Community Policing to Police Officers and Supervisors in former conflict zones and countries in transition; and to develop existing policing skills to the level required to become a Community Police Officer. This will enable those officers to conduct themselves and perform their duties in a professional and knowledgeable manner. The anticipated results are that these officers will have the skills and abilities to become independent when conducting problem solving exercises and be delegated decision making powers by supervisors.

Human Trafficking Awareness and Investigation

To provide Law Enforcement Officers with a working knowledge of the definition and structure of Human Trafficking; how to identify and interview victims to obtain evidence and the interviewing of suspects using the PEACE interviewing model.

Investigative Interviewing

To provide Law Enforcement Officers with a working knowledge of how to conduct a Cognitive Interview in relation to victims and witnesses of crime; and conduct a Conversation Management suspect interview; using the PEACE interviewing model.
