All training has been developed for engineers by a practising fire alarm engineer and not academics, therefore using vast experience and a logical mind to solve fire safety issues and faults within commercial buildings, transferring this into the program of study and practical training.

  • Module 1 Design of Fire Alarm & Detection Systems For Non - Domestic Premises BS 5839-1:2017

    This is a fire alarm technicians introduction to design course; covers the basic application and interpretation of BS: 5839 part 1 and where it fits with legislation and the buildings fire risk assessment. This is the must have module as it covers all of the Birtish Standard updates as well as the basics of BS5839 -1:2017. The course will provide a good understanding of how to ensure fire detection and fire alarm system design which complies with BS 5839-1:2017 as well as legislation.The first module of the four modules required before the Ofqual approved Level 3 examination can be taken.

  • Module 2 Maintenance Inspection & Testing Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems For Non-Domestic Premises BS5839-1:2017

    This fire alarm technicians introduction to maintenance course and covers the application and interpretation of BS: 5839 part 1 covering in detail sections 6 and 7; clauses 44 to 48. This course also covers the requirements of BAFE on maintenance of fire alarm systems. The course will provide a detailed understanding of how to ensure fire detection and fire alarm system is fully maintained to the requirements of BS 5839-1:2017 and the BAFE SP203 scheme. The second module of the four modules required before the Ofqual approved Level 3 examination can be taken.

  • Module 3 Installation of Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems For Non - Domestic Premises BS5839-1:2017

    This module covers: Revision on Categories of protection; definitions; the law and risks; competent person; system operation and actions; schedules – testing equipment; checks; methods for  reducing unwanted alarms; testing detectors; MCP and ancillaries and documentation. This module must be completed to continue on to the other modules and is part of the four and five day course leading to the EAL Level 3 exam. The course will provide a detailed understanding of how to ensure fire detection and fire alarm system is installed  to the requirements of BS 5839-1:2017 and the BAFE Sp203 Scheme. The third module of the four modules required before the Ofqual approved Level 3 examination can be taken.

  • Module 4 Commissioning of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Non-Domestic Premises BS5839-1:2017

    This module covers; Commissioning for fire detection and fire alarm systems to BS 5839-1:2017 and builds on the candidates knowledge gained in the previous modules to enable detailed commissioning to take place. This module is part of the four and five day course leading to the EAL Level 3 exam. The course will provide a detailed understanding of how to ensure fire detection and fire alarm system is commissioned to the requirements of BS 5839-1:2017 and the BAFE Sp203 Scheme. The forth module of the four modules required before the Ofqual approved Level 3 examination can be taken.
