Understanding Anxiety (Early Years)

This module provides delegates with an understanding of what we mean by anxiety; how it appears in autistic children; what the key triggers are and what EYs staff can do to support autistic children. Delegates will reflect on their own experiences with anxiety and consider what has worked for them in practice when looking to address anxiety in autistic children. The aims of this module are to enable delegates to understand: What can cause anxiety in an autistic child; How an autistic child might express their anxiety; The reasonable adjustments that can be made to prevent and reduce their anxiety.
