About the CPD course

This course equips participants with a good understanding of dementia and how they can support people diagnosed/living with dementia they work/live with. It will explore what dementia is; the effect of dementia on the person and their families; facts and up-to-date information; legislation and Regulation; different types of dementia and their effect and how to support people cope with ordinary situations; age related conditions confused for dementia – (Memory cognitive impairment);types of dementia; symptoms; risk factors and how to support people at the various stages of dementia based on person-centred care; and understand behaviour that can undermine interactions.
