About the CPD course

Safety planning is a key skill for professionals working with victims and survivors of domestic abuse; sexual abuse and stalking. This course will ensure learners understand the importance of safety planning and how to safety plan in different situations. It will increase learners' confidence in why; when; and how to carry out safety and support planning and understanding the process of emergency safety planning.

Safer Places is a not-for-profit organisation working in Essex and Hertfordshire. We aim to ensure the safety, improve the quality of life and reduce repeat victimisation of adults and children fleeing from or living with domestic abuse, by providing a comprehensive service of support. This involves offering advice and information, safe refuge accommodation, community based floating support, a 24 hour support line, counselling, legal services, education and training (in life skills such as literacy, numeracy, language, hobbies and employment).
