About the CPD course

This interactive course aims to introduce your staff to mental health problems. The course: introduces the psychiatric classification system; and explains its strengths and weaknesses; the different categories of mental ill health; and signs and symptoms of each; examines five different frameworks for explaining mental health problems; helps staff identify indications of mental ill health; examines the impact that mental distress has on the individual and others around them; explains the different support and treatment options; introduces three legislations particularly important when dealing with mental health problems.
