About the CPD course

This training is aimed at raising awareness of and expectations for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities. People with profound and multiple learning disabilities are a small but often marginalised group of people who face disproportionate levels of discrimination prejudice and low expectations. The course provides an overview of the communication sensory and health needs of people with PMLD and provides resources and information for further exploration. The course also examines values and principles and participants will leave with a wealth of ideas and creative approaches to more confidently support people with profound and multiple learning disabilities to live healthier; happier lives.
