About the CPD course
This is an awareness course only. Any work carried out under PPE regulations should be covered by additional specific training carried out by a competent person. Not wearing PPE in the workplace is hazardous to health and should be carried out correctly and safely. This can only come because of proper training and personnel responsibility to always work in the correct manner. Courses are delivered by industry experienced trainers; face to face in a classroom environment. Trainers can visit work premises or via our Mobile Training Unit (MTU) or companies are welcome to use CITBNI headquarters training facilities. All CITBNI Health & Safety Awareness courses and facilities are provided free to our registered members.
We represent the amalgamated operations of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and the Sector Skills Council for construction, ConstructionSkills in Northern Ireland. As an Industry Training Board and Sector Skills Council our role is to encourage the adequate training of those employed or intending to be employed in the construction industry and to improve the skills and productivity of the industry in Northern Ireland. We provide advice, courses and grants for training to help construction companies improve their skills to increase their competitive edge.
