About the CPD course
The training is designed to help healthcare (and other) staff respond to crisis situations and how their own (staff) actions can impact situations and what they (staff) can control in these situations. Looks at how crisis develops and appropriate staff responses that may help to de-escalate situations. The are 5 sections: An Introduction to crisis; Responding to someone in distress; Perceptions and unknown contributors to crisis; Responding to defensive behaviour; After the crisis.
