This course is aimed at Specialist Study Skills Tutors and Specialist Mentors supporting Autistic students in Higher Education. The course aims to challenge delegates to consider and reflect on the challenges an autistic student might face in all aspects of university life; and to share ways of alleviating or minimising and helping students overcome these. The course introduces the concept of Energy Accounting and shows how this could be another tool that could help their autistic students. The course introduces the Double Empathy Problem and explains how it can impact autistic students in Higher Education.
