Dementia is different for everyone and can affect individuals in many ways. This course will be delivered by our experienced specialist practitioners. It will cover the fundamentals of dementia including symptoms; diagnosis and strategies. This training is developed to help improve individuals’ knowledge; skills and approaches. This course aligns with Tier 1 of the National Dementia Training Standards Framework; HEE.
Dementia Carers Count (DCC) is the only charity that offers essential, expert support to the 700,000 family members and friends in the UK who are looking after someone with dementia.
We provide free, life-changing support that families living with dementia so often find isn’t there for them. Our services - both face-to-face and online – give family carers the opportunity to learn about dementia, to connect with others in a similar situation and to find ways to improve and maintain their own wellbeing while navigating the highs and lows of caring for someone with dementia. Everything we do is developed together with family carers and is delivered by health and care professionals.
