In this Epidemic and Pandemic Disease Awareness Course; you will learn about the risks; impacts; and mitigation strategies for pandemics. Starting with an introduction to pandemics; you'll explore the factors that contribute to pandemics such as SARS and MERS; as well as the 2019-nCoV version of SARS. You'll also examine zoonotic diseases and review historical pandemics such as HIV/AIDS; influenza; Nipah virus; smallpox; viral meningitis; Ebola virus; Zika virus; and the plague. Note: This course is intended for personal development only and does not provide regulated qualification.
