About the CPD course

This course explores how questioning techniques can be used in educational settings to improve learner progress. It provides a theoretical basis for practical strategies; and suggestions for how educators can develop their questioning skills in the classroom. Topic areas covered include: types of questions; Bloom's taxonomy; Rosenshine’s principles of instruction; and a number of practical classroom strategies. This course provides opportunities for educators to reflect and consider the application of theoretical principles to improve their classroom practice; and subsequently better support learner progress.
