About the CPD course
This module will help managers understand the area of employment law relating to managing the maternity process and will outline a best practice process and procedure; whilst improving confidence in dealing with the maternity process. This module includes; definitions; rights and entitlements (including time off for antenatal appointments) and will also make you aware of the pitfalls of dealing with maternity and pregnancy incorrectly or unfairly. You will get to understand the rules surrounding maternity leave and pay; including the notice requirements expected of the employee throughout the process; along with the responses required by the employer.
