About the CPD course

This is a full day course that includes comprehensive pre-course reading/e-Learning. PRP: Understanding growth factors and the healing cascade. A small sample of the patient's blood is taken from their arm (you must be trained in phlebotomy/venepuncture to take live bloods) and placed into a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins the blood very rapidly to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. The plasma can be injected directly into specific areas of the skin; or skin needling can be used to create tiny punctures across a larger area; to allow the plasma to be absorbed. Delegates are trained to inject the scalp also and information is given on other meso products that can be used alongside the PRP to assist with hair loss. Various additional resources are provided that go into considerable detail to assist you with your PRP treatment.
