About the CPD course
Galops LGBT+ domestic abuse awareness-raising training is based on our knowledge and expertise developed over decades of supporting LGBT+ survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of identity and gender-based violence. The training aims to increase the confidence of service providers to deliver competent and effective support to LGBT+ survivors. The session is structured around four central themes; LGBT+ identities; LGBT+ peoples experiences of abuse; barriers in access to services; and LGBT+ inclusive and welcoming support; and includes individual and small group work. We can also offer bespoke training which meets the individual requirements of your organisation.
Galop works directly with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence every year. We specialise in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, so-called conversion therapies, and other forms of interpersonal abuse.
