An Advanced Phlebotomy and Cannulation Course that covers all aspects of skill set development up to the point of cannulating and advanced phlebotomy techniques. Training includes a thorough understanding of POC testing; special phlebotomy procedures; geriatric phlebotomy; children and neonates; peripheral phlebotomy tasks; peripheral IV cannulation; legal and professional responsibilities; anatomy & physiology; procedure; hygiene and infection prevention control; equipment; vein choice; complications; and contraindications. Candidates can apply for roles within the NHS or private sector upon completion of the course.
