Online Course

Greater Manchester Cancer Academy
About the CPD course
This Module provides an overview of the nature of prostate cancer and how it is likely to present; including the broad disease spectrum from asymptomatic indolent cancer to a more aggressive disease to help understand the nature of the progression of the disease. Key focal points are understanding the people more likely to be at risk and in need of diagnostic investigation; in particular based on their ethnic background and genetic risk factors. The importance of early detection and appropriate disease management makes it vital to discern who needs to be considered for the prostate cancer diagnostic pathway.
We’re ‘buzzing’ to be sharing with you the latest education venture at Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance. The Greater Manchester Cancer Academy – the hive of cancer education – will support the development of a sustainable lifelong learning model for cancer care across all care settings. We want to ensure that our workforce is equipped with the skills and tools necessary to delivery the best patient care whilst supporting the delivery of the NHS People Plan and the Long Term Plan ambitions for cancer services. The Academy will help to reduce inequity around accessing cancer education and provides a mechanism to standardise training, education and career frameworks for our current and future non-medical workforce.
