This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the principles; practices; and ethical considerations surrounding the integration of animals in educational environments. Participants will gain a deep understanding of AAI fundamentals; including handler role; canine behaviour; animal welfare; ethics; risk assessment; and tailoring interventions to meet diverse needs. Combining theoretical study and practical application; learners will acquire knowledge and skills to implement and manage AAI programs effectively within schools. From fostering positive interactions to documenting outcomes and addressing business aspects; this course equips participants with the tools to enhance the experiences and well-being of students through thoughtful and responsible AAI practices.
