This course is for head teachers and senior leaders to enable them establish robust system for Performance Management in their school. Training covers purpose of performance management and its benefits; it examines different models providing guidance on using a coaching approach to managing teacher performance. Training includes guidance on carrying out performance management from planning; holding the initial meeting; to setting objectives and evaluating performance against these. As part of training there will be guidance on how to evaluate evidence and manage key meetings. Politics and procedures for performance management will be covered in the training.
