If you are a professional working with young people & families; or you are a parent/carer; you may have come across the issue of self-harm. Although not exclusive to young people; self-harm is relatively common amongst adolescents; and the impact on children; young people and their families can be significant. This training course aims to help in: Exploring attitudes and prejudices toward self-harm. Providing insight into the dynamics and functions of self-harm. Understanding potential causes; triggers and cycles of self-harm. Considering helpful and unhelpful responses to young people who self-harm.
