About the CPD course

This course aims to provide a basic introduction to the asset class of alternative investments (AI) which is becoming increasingly popular among global investment managers. The primary emphasis will be on identifying the basic features of various alternative investment vehicles; namely hedge funds; commodities; real estate and private equity. The course also aims to highlight the complementary effects of alternative investments to portfolios containing traditional investment assets such as bonds and equities; by focusing on the diversification properties of AI.
